I didn’t use this on a drum sander and really don’t know how you would. What I use this for is cutting off whatever I need when it’s less than a full sheet. I find it more convenient to have sandpaper in rolls so you can cut off exactly what you need, no more, no less. This is wide, so it’s more useful than the little 1″ or 2″ wide rolls. You can use this on a sanding block, though you should note that there isn’t a hook and loop or adhesive back, so it will need to be the type that clamps it down. I’m very happy with the performance of this roll of sandpaper, and will get it again when I run out.

This sand paper roll is well made with cloth backing and holds to up to a fair amount of abuse. I think it is a great buy for the money and would recommend it to anyone.

I use to buy the one inch strips for bowl turning.
I have no idea why.
This wider sand paper that can be used wet and seems to last so much longer is far better.
It’s a little hard to just tear so I use scissors, the grits lasts a very long time and can be cleaned out pretty easy.
